My first pass on PvE Quests was a huge success and I was immensely proud of what I accomplished on it. From there I wanted to make it to look more professional and add a new layer to it that is a callback to some of our favorite games, roguelikes. Not only that, but I have adjusted the roguelike portion to be easily integrated into Rathe Adventures!
Let's take a look at a sheet and break it down.
Character Sheet
Here we have Dromai, a Draconic Illusionist. As noted before, I've updated the look of it to be more professional and in line with some of our favorite games. Additionally, there is a new section on the top half of the page, the character abilities.
Character Abilities
Every hero has access to 3 different types of abilities. In the case of Dromai, she has access to Aura, Phantasm and Draconic abilities. Many times you will see heroes that have the same abilities with the 3rd slot changing because they have a talent. You will see there is a number to the left and that shows how many points it takes to invest into those abilities!
Rathe Adventures
Rathe adventures has such a unique system with their dungeon system that the Character Abilities fit nicely into it. Every time you complete a room in Rathe Adventures, you receive an Ability Point. The number on the left shows how many Ability Points you need to gain the ability for the rest of the Chapter. At the end of the chapter, you lose all abilities when you start a new chapter.
Quests
Quests look the same but the rules have been slightly updated. Your quests allow you to gain your specializations early, but once you reach a level that you would gain them, you do! Dromai is a great example of this with her two specializations. They are both rare so you would normally unlock them at level 2, but you can earn them sooner on level 1 if you complete the quests.
Legendary Quests
Once you reach level 5 (100xp) you will gain access to Legendary Quests to unlock Legendary equipment! I am currently working on these quests but I will say that they will be more than just quests you check off but adventures where you will meet different characters, some familiar and some new. I have some special plans for Rathe Adventures as well when it comes to these quests so stay tuned.
