Hello, my nickname is Blighter.
I was the Clash Bash last season's winner, and I lost only one game during the entire season. In this article, I want to describe how I build my decks in Clash so you can get a better idea of how to build yours.
Part 1: Choosing the Hero and Building a Core
From bottom to top
This is probably the safest and easiest way to build a Clash deck, and it’s what I recommend for new players. Essentially, you start by looking at the Commoner format, pick a good deck from it, and then improve it with some rares and specs. That’s how I built the strongest deck in my lineup— Iyslander.

As you can see in the screenshot, the difference between my Commoner and Clash Iyslander deck is small—just 8 cards, with some of them in the sideboard. You can find good Commoner decklists on fabrary or the official site.
From Top to Bottom
This approach is the opposite of "from bottom to top." You start by examining strong CC (Classic Constructed) and LL (Living Legend) decks, then look for ones that include a lot of commons and rares—or have those as their core. A good example of such a deck is

Or Chane

Here, you can see that more than half of the decks consist of commons and rares, which is exactly what we’re aiming for. Also, make sure that the deck’s strength isn’t overly reliant on its equipment. For example, Mystic heroes often have some of the best equipment in the game, which is a big part of their power (looking at you, Zen). Initially, I wanted to build an Aurora deck, but many LL heroes are simply better. That’s another factor to consider when choosing a deck. For this reason, I ended up picking Briar over Aurora, even with only two Earth cards in my mainboard.
Bans and Specialization Shenanigans
What’s the best way to know if a card is good? Check if it’s banned. Some cards that are banned in CC are unbanned in Clash. Additionally, there are heroes with outstanding specialization cards, such as Azalea, Riptide, Katsu, and Betsy or Shiyana. You’ll want to take advantage of these powerful cards and build your deck around them. For example, I ended up with a Katsu deck that includes Bonds in all colors and some great specialization lines.
Pure stats
Just look at this table and pick the best winrate hero.
Part 2: Deck Building Checklist
Review All Specializations
Look through all the specialization cards for your hero—most of them are very strong.
Check for Staple Cards
Ensure your deck includes the staple cards that fit its strategy. These cards are excellent and often at CC power level.
Get Inspiration from Other Decks
Check out other Clash, Commoner, or CC decks for your hero. Looking at other decklists is a great way to find inspiration and new tech. Personally, I use Fabrary for this.
Browse Your Class Options
Review all the class-specific cards available. It’s surprising how few common and rare red/blue cards some classes have—you can often scroll through the entire card pool in just a few minutes.
Don't forget your Arcane Barrier equipment
I’d recommend to have at least 3 pieces with Arcane barrier because wizards and runeblades are quite present in the format right now and Kano/Blaze/Iyslander/Verdance are real threats and can punish you for low AB really hard
Test Your Deck on Talishar
Play a few games on Talishar to see how your deck feels in action!
Hell yea! this is super good advice. tho why did ya have to out wizards like that XD
